  1. *U*m*m*m*m*m*m*m*m*............................*J*o*n*n*y*?*?* says:

I think sight is the most important because if you cant see you cant do any sports! I think the least important is smell because if u cant smell it u can just taste it.

    • Mr. Bell says:

In this setting (school), you are expected to type the entire word ‘you’. If this were an informal activity like a conversation between friends via a text message, then u can use shorter forms and slang.

  2. meepamus aka meep aka keagan says:

I think listening is the most important because you can still hear and listen if any thing is
    coming. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    • Mr. Bell says:

      Please complete the entire question.

    • meepamus aka meep aka keagan says:

I think hearing is the best because well I don’t know why it is the best!!!!
I can’t think of anything that is good about the choices. I am never able to make up my mind to be exact. since I can’t think of why it’s the best I’m just going to say I chose it because I wanted to.I am sick of being told : Keagan you did every thing wrong I would like to hear good job at least once!!!

      • Mr. Bell says:

First, if you have troubles, you need to seek help. You didn’t do it wrong, you needed to add more detail. You started the job and did not finish it. Reading many of your posts, you will see an initial response, but no substantial detail. It takes time to develop the details. That skill is important at a grade 6 level and beyond.

Think about the things you like to hear…what are they…what would it be like if you couldn’t hear them? Then, consider something you could do without…say if you couldn’t smell anything, would it change your life drastically.

This task is well within your ability if you put some sincere thought into it. If you do, then you will have done a great job.

  3. I would say that hearing is the most important because if you are out in the woods and there is a bear or something you will be able to here where it is and go in the other direction.
I think that taste is the least important because you don’t have to taste everything. πŸ™‚ !!!

    • Mr. Bell says:

You need to add more detail to the least important sense. Why do you not have to taste everything?

  4. Jacob Kealey says:

I’ll list from least to greatest on what I think is important the most least would be taste, smell, feeling, hearing, sight I think sight would be the most important because you would still be able to do most of the things that you normally do and also you would see your first Christmas present and what your parents look like. And the most least important would be taste because you would do fine without it because you wouldn’t need it in a dangerous occurrence and to eat. that is why I think this.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Combining most + least confuses readers. Use only one of the words: “The most important sense is….The least important sense is…”

  5. Ashley Evin says:

I think that feeling is the most important to have because if you don’t you could burn yourself and not feel it at the beginning but after you will definitely feel it. When you are cooking on the stove and you don’t feel it, thats something that will hurt in the morning. Even with cold things you can get hurt or get frost bite. If you in a cold country and you cant feel how cold it is and don’t feel ice on the ground and slip and fall you could get injured.

I think the least important is tasting. If you need to eat something then you can smell, feel and see it to make sure its safe to eat. You can just look at the food and smell it to make sure it’s safe. Tasting can be important to people that have never tasted the food before and want to but if that happens you should get other people taste it before you do.

  6. Im thinking Im thinking.................... daniel says:

I think that we people would never be able to live with out sight. if we could not see then we would have no one to guide us. We also would not be able to see dangers lurking around. We could live without taste because you would still get food, you just would not be able to taste it. Its sort of the same with touch senses. You could live without feeling things because you just won’t ever feel anything. Its not like it will kill you.

So if I were to pick a least and most important, I would pick sight for most and touch for least important. please submit any arguments you might have. Thank-you.

    • Mr. Bell says:

If you could not feel anything, how would you know when you are sick, hurt or injured?

      • Im thinking Im thinking.................... daniel says:

well if you were too be able to smell really good, you could smell the blood

        • Mr. Bell says:

Quick Fix – to be able

You make a good point, but not all injuries have blood present.

          • Im thinking Im thinking.................... daniel says:

true fact . I never thought of that :/

  7. MAT is AWSOMELY KOOL says:

I do not like school and cant wait till Wednesday it’s going SEA-DOOing on OKANAGAN LAKE.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Sounds like fun. Still, you are here and have a job to do. We are all looking forward to some time off, but this doesn’t mean we don’t do our job for the next week.

    • RYRY321URME Johnson says:

What does that have to do with : Feel, smell, taste , see and hear?

    • savannah says:

WOW Mateen exactly how does that have anything to do with the question?

  8. Lea Andrews says:

The five senses are: Smelling, Hearing, Tasting, Seeing, and Feeling.
I think my most important sense would have to be seeing, because then you know what you are doing and where you are walking but most people that can’t see have those trained dogs that go everywhere with the person. I think my least important would have to be smelling because you don’t really have to smell stuff so it’s kinda useless, with your nose all you do is breath and smell but would you have to smell if you taste things with your mouth.

    • Lea Andrews says:

What I think from most important to least important
      1. Seeing
      2. Feeling
      3. Hearing
      4. Tasting
      5. Smelling

    • Mr. Bell says:

You’re right that taste and smell work together. Think about when you have a cold and you can’t taste the food because you’re stuffy.

Watch the run-on in your last ‘sentence’.

  9. RYRY321URME Johnson says:

senses: smell, hear, feel, see, taste.
I think the most important is feel because I couldn’t imagine what it would not be like to not feel.Imagine touching something but you would never be able to know what it feels like, soft, warm, cold, spiky. Yes you may be able to look and see what it looks like but you will never know if you are gonna swallow something hard and not able to chew. Although if you couldn’t feel anything you wouldn’t ever get hurt.

I think the second important sense is probably see because being able to see is a blessing. If you couldn’t see you wouldn’t be able to drive or you wouldn’t be able to see beautiful things. It would be hard not to run into some things even if you had a walking stick. Imagine not being able to really see what your relatives look like or where you live. It would be really easy for someone to take something from you or sneak up on you.

I think hear comes right after see. I think the least important is taste because you could smell and see more about everything.

    • Mr. Bell says:

The importance of sight and sound is interesting to consider. If you went to a concert, would you want to see the band or hear them?

      • RYRY321URME Johnson says:

I would want to hear them because what they are trying to sell is their music. I guess style is another thing but I think the music is more important.

  10. I ownzzzz you at biking p.s brant says:

Id say sight because you can do stuff and not be irritated by noises and you could fall asleep easy.Plus you could still ride dirt bike and MTN bike.

    • "JONNY!!!!" "yez i'll be there in a second Hayden." says:

      Yes that is right!!

    • RYRY321URME Johnson says:

well what if you couldn’t feel? how would you ride a bike then???? πŸ™‚

      • "JONNY!!!!" "yez i'll be there in a second Hayden." says:

        easy look and do!

        • Mr. Bell says:

You would have difficulty balancing if you couldn’t feel. If you didn’t feel a jump, hill, bump or drop, you’re likely to fall. Think about if you’ve ever had your gums frozen by the dentist. It can be difficult to drink (without drooling) while your mouth is still frozen.

  11. I don' care at all Calvin says:

Hearing is the most important. If you don’t have sight you can still dodge objects by listening to the noise you can make by whistling and the noise bounces of the object.
The least needed is sight as my other reason said if you don’t have sight you can still dodge objects by listening to the noise you can make by whistling and the noise bounces of the object.

  12. HAYDEN "yez i'll be there in a second Jonny" says:

I think that feeling would be the most important sense. Because if you couldn’t feel anything you wouldn’t know if you got stabbed or walking into a post or something.

The least important sense I think would be smelling because if you couldn’t smell it you could taste it.

    • Mr. Bell says:

A bonus of not being able to smell is that hockey gear would be undetectable!

Please add some more details and reasons.

  13. savannah says:

Senses: Hearing, Seeing, Feeling, Tasting, and Smelling.
I think my most important sense is my Seeing because I need to see everything in my room when I don’t feel like cleaning it. Also I need to see where I’m going if I want to go to a friends house. Plus if I didn’t see my mom couldn’t get mad at me and tell me to watch where I’m going. I would get to learn to feel things and figure out what they are so I don’t get hurt. My least important sense is Hearing because I get kind of tired listening to my mom yell all of the time so it would be nice if I couldn’t hear and my dad yells at me when I don’t do my chores. And I could learn how to do sign language so it would be kind of awesome. ( I can’t believe I still don’t know how to do sign language.)

    • Mr. Bell says:

Would you prefer to see that someone is upset, or hear that someone is upset?

      Quick Fix: a house belonging to a friend = a friend’s house

  14. jacob harmon says:

The most important sense to me is seeing . The second is hearing so if I can not see I can hear things. Third is smelling so I can smell things to know what they are. Fourth is tasting because I could eat thing and know what kind of food it is. Fifth is feeling I do not know why.

  15. TURNER AKA MASTER of game playing. says:

I think hearing is the most important because what if your walking on the road and a truck is coming your way you would be able to move out of the way because you would have heard it coming. I think the least important would be taste because then all you have to do is smell the food you may be eating and if you don’t like the smell don’ t eat it.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Good points! What if you were in traffic from all directions – what way would you go if you hear noises all around?

  16. Kim says:

senses: hear, smell, taste, feel, see
I think that the most important senses is see because you will be able to see things. I could not imagine not seeing, because I would not be able to see my younger cousins growing up in life and getting older. I also think seeing is important because you could see were you are going and and you could see if your spelling is right or not.

I think that taste is the least important because you could see it and smell it before you put it in your mouth. I also think that taste is least important because if you now that you don’t like it and your mom tells you to eat it so you do but you don’t taste it. :):)

    • Mr. Bell says:

Quick Fix: where (location) you are going…”Where (place) were (verb) you going?”

  17. "JONNY!!!!" "yez i'll be there in a second Hayden." says:

I think sight is the most important because if you cant see you cant do any sports or do anything really. I couldn’t stand not having any sight It would bug me sooo much.

I think the least important is smell because if you cant smell it you can just taste it. I just don’t think you need it that much. It’s nice to have it but I don’t think I would care not having it.

  18. mYRAndA/orihime Wawryk says:

I would have to say the best out of the five senses is feeling things with your hands ,because if your blind thats how you get around in your life and thats how you pick up something, or it would have to be sight because if your blind. The least best one is taste or smell because your just going to eat it anyways and your smell doesn’t really come in handy unless your blind folded and doing a dare to eat something.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Quick Fix: if you are blind = you’re; that is = that’s

Rather than say ‘the least best’, use ‘the least important’
