Are you really who you are?

Hi Class! A real thinkers topic here…Are you really who you are? Do you pretend to be someone else? How often? Does who you are change from situation to situation? When is it acceptable to pretend to be someone you are not? Is there anything more important than being whoever you actually are?

  1. Rem says:

Being your self is good. Thats it.

  2. RYRY321URME Johnson says:

Its important to be yourself. Don’t be someone your not. In some situations it is alright to be yourself. Like when a stranger comes up to you and asks you your first and last name and personal stuff about you. It is fine to pretend to be someone else to keep you safe.

  3. JoRdAn says:

Just be who yourself at home and at school.

  4. AppleJack (aka Kyle) says:

I’m occasionally myself around my friends, family, and even strangers. I tend to act nicely or shyly around people just like I always do. If I “have” to act differently for a friend or a person I know. By the way. My Little Pony is the BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!! 😀

  5. Kolton says:

Yes I think im really who I am. I sometimes pretend to be in star wars and have lite saver battles with Nic and Ian when were bored.

  6. JoNnY says:

Yes it does change from situation to situation. It is never expectable because you are who you are. Nothing else is important then being yourself

  7. amy says:

well,no i am myself all time( day/night/in between).

  8. Keenan says:

i am who i am. i usually dont get emmbaressed

  9. LAZER ( JOEL) says:

I act differently around adults, I try to be more respectful. when I’m around girls or older woman I try to be a gentleman. around friends I’m still respectful but I don’t care what I say as much.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Should the age or gender of the person determine the amount of respect you demonstrate?

      • Joel says:

Well maybe not the gender, but the age of someone should deturmine your word chose. I dont think that someone would go up to an elderly person and start calling them ” my brother from another mother,” or ” my sister from another mister”. That would be disrespectful in my opinion.

        • Mr. Bell says:

So, would you treat an elderly female in a more respectful way than a middle aged female or young female? Does age really matter when respecting others?

          Quick Fixes:
          – determine
          – choice (choose, chose)
          – do + not = don’t

    • RYRY321URME Johnson says:

  12. Alex McLean says:

I’m my self and I try to be my self most of the time. On the other hand, I sometimes have to tweak the way I act in some situations. I try to be my self most of the time when around people.

  13. -K says:

I think it’s important to be yourself at all moments in your life. Only way to act different is if your in danger.
