I think we should do backwards day. so the kids could wear there back packs bakwards and hats and other clothing

  2. sydney says:

What if we did fun day on a Friday because kids love to have exciting things to do. n The fun day would probably be held in the snow so we could do snow activities. As last year we can use the coloured water and make a snow globe through the school. That is my idea.

  3. Garet says:

    maybe we could have chicken nugget day where we all wear one article of clothing that involves chicken nugget{s}

  4. Sarah says:

I think we should have a PJ day and a stuffy day or bring your stuffy with you because then People wouldn’t have to dress for school and it would just be fun like when we were kids and bring your stuffy with you. I also think we should have dances like Halloween, Christmas and all other kinds of dances. If we would have more dances I think they should have and primary and an intermediate one or the primary students go after awhile and the older kids get to stay longer.

  5. gurisha says:

I think we should have a Halloween Day where we all dress up as what we are going to be for Halloween, and have fun all day long ( no math ). At the end of the day we can have 2 dances! One for intermediates , and one for the primary’s! One of my BIG BIG BIG wishes are that we have ALOT more dances, I mean we never have dances. As far as I know pretty much everyone wants dances. Therefore i think we should have a Halloween Day and a dance! πŸ˜€

    • Mr. Bell says:

Wow, Math is sure mentioned often in this topic…perhaps we should go back to endless worksheets rather than the hands on activities we have been doing ;).

Great use of the transition ‘therefore’!

What will you do to make dances happen?

  6. Gabrielle says:

I wish we had more dances! If we had one for primaries and one for intermediates maybe once a month and they can be themed. The kids can pick the songs. You take song requests at lunch a few days before the dance. To make more money for the school it could be a food donation or 2$ to enter. As well you could sell chips and milk and chocolate milk there. Fun little dance competitions for cheap dollar store prices maybe. We could have the snowball and you can’t say no! You play a slow song for the snowball and the guy ask the girl to dance. Dances can be really fun if the teachers help make it better. If you can encourage people to dance if they’re sitting it will help make it better.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Great details Gabby! Dances are tough because the students behave in a different manner than they do in class. Usually, the students offer the best model to their peers, so if most of the students are dancing in an acceptable way and are encouraging others to join in, the dances are fun.

  7. Brendan R. says:

I think for school spirit days we should have a pj day. All the primary kids could bring a stuffy and blankets. Intermediate kids could bring electronics! Also NO math for the entire day!Every One would enjoy it! especially ME! PLEASE!!!!!!

  8. Austin says:

I think we should have electronics day and kids could bring their xboxs because this year in math we are doing flips ,rotations, and mirror objects

    • Mr. Bell says:

Good connection to Math Austin. Are there other educational uses for the X-Box?

      Quick Fix:
      – Be sure to end a sentence with a period, question mark, or exclamation point.
      – Add a space after a comma (not before it).

  9. mackenzie says:

I think there should be dances. In addition there should only be intermediates in the dances. Also you could sell snacks like chips pop chocolate milk. You also have dance competitions and who ever wins gets a prize. There should be once a month and alternate between boys asking girls to dance and girls asking boys to dance. The intermediates should be able to organize the dances, like music andthe snowball.

    • Mr. Bell says:

You share some thorough detail Mackenzie! Is there a way to include the younger students so that they learn how to dance and behave at dances?

Be sure to add commas when you are listing things: chips, pop, chocolate milk

  10. Mariah says:

Spirit day would be more fun if we had a dance very other week rotating from intermediate to primary. Although you MUST dance. Also everyone must agree to the music. To get into the dance you would need to pay a $2.00 entry and make a food donation.

    • Mr. Bell says:

You’re right about dances being fun (and they are great for exercise too)! How do we get students to dance rather than complain about the music while standing against a wall? I love the food donation idea, but what would the money be for?

      • gurisha says:

I have an idea for what we do with the money!! We could use to get better equipment for the school, like more field trips, and such. We should do a petition for a dance if there are 50 or more names then we could have a dance! Fair enough , right?

        • Mr. Bell says:

Again Gurisha, it’s not about the amount of interest in a dance, it’s whether the people dance or not. Too often, dances become sidetracked by things that are not dancing. How can students demonstrate they are interested in dancing?

  11. Damien says:

I think we should have twin day because kids will have fun and kids might have a chance to make new friends. Kids can have fun and people will have a good time with everyone.A lot of people liked it last year and I think people will really like it this year.

  12. Alexa says:

I would love to see more dances at our school, lots of schools have dances and say it’s just fun to chill with your friends sometimes. We could have a winter, spring , fall/ Halloween and summer (near last day of school to celebrate. In addition Pj Day would be fun because kids could just come to school with there pj’s on. Kids would be possible earlier because they would not need to get dressed. lastly nerd day because you can wear funky, colourful, wacky outfits for fun with out getting laughed at because everyone looks the same.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Great ideas Alexa and it’s wonderful to see you use the transition ‘in addition’! One observation I’ve noticed at dances is that there isn’t much dancing going on. How do we ensure students dance?

      Quick Fix:
      – There is a difference between there/their/they’re. What would you use in the sentence: “In addition Pj Day would be fun because kids could just come to school with there pj’s on.”?

  13. Kiira says:

At school I would love to have a bring your stuffie to school day. I think that we should do this because so any kids have stuffies that they would love to show others. (plus you could use them for a cushion πŸ˜‰ ) In addition I think that it should be combined with pj day. It would be a fun little cozy/lazy day.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Great transition use of ‘In addition’ Kiira! Aside from the comfort of stuffed animals, how could they be used as a learning tool or in an activity?

  14. Kelsey says:

Hello Mr.Bell Hope the class is AWESOME im having lots of fun with my new class and school cant wait to drop in one day!

  15. Sam says:

I think a school dance would be really cool, because people can have fun, hang out and dance to some groovy tunes. This may be off subject but…. I WANNA GO ON A FIELD TRIP!!!! We should have a PJ day and watch a good movie, bring some snacks and
    be lazy. I think these ideas would make school so much funner! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ™‚

    • Mr. Bell says:

Thanks for your thoughts Sam! What kind of field trip do you have in mind?

      Quick Fix:
      – Use ‘want to’ for academic purposes, never ‘wanna’.

  16. Kobe says:

We should have YouTube because some people spend most of there time on YouTube at home. By watching funny videos like vines and smack cams.

    • Mr. Bell says:

YouTube has many educational uses Kobe. Which video topics would teach students the things we are learning in school?

      Quick Fix:
      – There are differences between there/their/they’re. Which is needed when you say: “…people spend most of ___ time on YouTube…”?

  17. beau says:

I think we should have lazy day so every one can come to school in pj’s
and all we do is play games and go outside and Watch movies and lay around. I
like this idea because everybody likes to lay around and do nothing.

    • Mr. Bell says:

Thanks Beau! Do you think it would be easy to do nothing all day at school? How would it be different than sitting around at home doing nothing?

  18. Asia says:

Most people already said this but I think we should definitely have more dances and on spirit days we should have a pyjama day! I think it would be really fun, and we also shouldn’t have as much work to do on spirit days.

  19. seth says:

I think we should have a stay-at-home day because we could have 1 less day at school.
But instead of it being like a pro-d day the teachers can stay home too.

  20. beau says:

Well what I ment was we come in pj’s and do nothing but games
