Things That ‘Bug’ You…

Hi Class! Tell us about something insignificant to others that really irks you (drives you nuts) and why this is the case. Think along the lines of your pet peeves – issues and things that are bothersome to you, but may or may not impact other people. Be sure to explain why you think the way you do and offer solutions to your issue.

Longer School Days & Years

Hi Class! Today’s topic is about longer school days. Answer at least one of the scenarios below. Your answer must provide several reasons and be written at a grade 6.75 or grade 7.75 level. Please note that at the end of this week, you will be asked to identify your best post (proper spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and idea development).

Scenario #1: Would you be willing to have 75 minutes extra class time per day in exchange for a three day weekend every week?

Scenario #2: Would you be willing to have 15 minutes extra class time per day in exchange for a two week spring break?

Scenario #3: Would you be willing to have year-round school? This is where you have approximately three months of school then approximately one month break. This cycle repeats itself throughout the year.

Hi Class! In the spirit of Backwards Day, ask a question in your post for other people to answer. Your question must involve something beyond a simple yes/no, agree/disagree style answer.

While you wait for your question to be posted, work on Mathletics. Come back to the blog in a few minutes and answer some of your classmates’ questions.
