McQueen Lake was really fun! One of my lowlights was some guys scared my cabin and we didn’t get much sleep! We still don’t know who did it.
But the food was very nice and the skits! I loved the skits they were so funny!
I really enjoyed the skits and the food as well; it was almost as good as dinner theatre! It is unfortunate that some of the students felt it was okay to be out after bedtime to scare other cabins. These unexpected behaviours make it difficult to justify doing more trips in the future.
I think at the end of the year we should go to Eagle Bay!!
Do tell us why we should. Be sure to include the educational merits of such a trip.
Why am I the only one commenting?
I want to go to Eagle Bay to.
Quick Fix: when you mean ‘as well’ or ‘also’, use the word too.
The highlight I will remember is seeing the students putting on the ‘shows’ they created. It was wonderful to see everyone take a safe risk and bring smiles to the faces in the audience.
The low point was when I had to deal with a critter in my cabin during the middle of the second night. I could hear something scurrying on the floor, then the noise would stop. Subsequently, the sound I heard was a thump, akin to a tail hitting a wall. I thought there was a squirrel or something in or under the cabin. As it turned out, there was a plastic garbage container in my cabin and a mouse was stuck on the inside of it, trying to escape by jumping up! The mouse must have climbed up the logs, and fell in. I set the mouse free (outside my cabin naturally), then went back to bed.
McQueen was awesome except the part when we hiked up to isabell lake and we got really hungry and almost died
It was unfortunate the snacks were not as timely as we had planned, but no one was almost dead.
Quick Fix: Isobel Lake is a proper noun and requires capital letters.
I had a great time at Mc Queen lake. It’s to bad that we didn’t play flashlight tag though. It was a lot of fun in grade four. The rest of the trip was awesome though.
Great to hear you had a super time!
Quick Fix: use too when you say, “It’s too bad…”
It was a little bit miserable at some parts it was super exciting and scores of fun. My low lights were the food I didn’t they were soggy and yucky.
‘Scores of fun’ – great description! What was miserable and what was super exciting?
Quick Fix: Proofread your words as they are typed (…I didn’t they were soggy.). Sometimes what one says in one’s mind is the same as what is written on the page.
Mc Queen Lake was very fun!
Glad to hear this – what did you enjoy in particular?
mcqueen lake was amazing i loved the skits exspecialy the one from moose manshion the part i did not like was at night when my cabin mates kept me up all night.
Quick Fixes:
– Capital letters are needed to begin sentences and for proper nouns. (McQueen Lake, I, Moose Mansion…).
– “I love the skits, especially the one…”
